PRISON BREAK - GUNMEN KILL 2 FRSC MARSHALS IN KOTON KARFE

The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) on Wednesday confirmed the killing of two officers of the commission by gunmen in Koton Karfe community in Kogi
The Sector Commander of the FRSC in Kogi, Mr Godwin Omiko, confirmed the killing while speaking with newsmen in Lokoja.

According to Omiko, Olaoluwa Adebayo and Adesina Iyanda were shot by the same armed bandits, who attacked Koton Karfe Prison and set 144 inmates free on Nov. 2.

He also said that the slain marshals were among six officers on night duty at the FRSC office on the fateful day.

The Sector Commander also maintained that the officials ran in different directions at the time of the invasion until they found a place to hide. But unfortunately for them, their hideout was discovered and they were taken.

However, nothing was heard of them until a woman who went to fetch wood discovered their bodies tied with their line yards in a shallow grave.

Sad! may their souls rest in peace
