The Duchess of Alba also known as 'Cayetana' who died yesterday at the age of 88 has been said to have left nothing in a her will for her 64-year-old and last husband Alfonso Diez. This is because prior to their marriage in October 2011, the husband, Alfonso Diez who is 24 years her junior, signed a document renouncing himself from her wealth .
This has left her fortune which includes an impressive property portfolio, 50,000 pieces of artwork and 18,000 rare books, her entire estate to her six children, with them each receiving a palace, as well as thousands of acres of land.
Her eight grandchildren are also said to have inherited a substantial chunk of her estate.
