Plateau gun attacks may have claimed 19 lives

No fewer than 19 persons were feared dead early yesterday morning at Kadunung village in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, following gunmen’s attacks on the community where houses were also razed and shops looted.

But spokesman of Operation Safe Haven, Op SH, Capt. Ikedichi Iweha, who confirmed the incident, said no one died in the attack which had rendered many homeless.

According to reports, there is no identified number of the gunmen as they were said by the residents to have come in their scores, killing and injuring people and setting houses ablaze.

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, accordinjg to reports met with President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The meeting was said to have lasted for one hour but no details were disclosed of what was discussed by the duo. But after the meeting, Obasanjo was approached by journalists who wanted information and  asked him for a comment and all he said was “Comot joo”, according to Punch.

“Comot joo” is a Nigerian pidgin English for “leave this place”

HEARTBREAKING - Four-year-old Syrian boy 'surrendered' when a photojournalist pointed his camera at him, assumed it was a gun

This is the shocking and heartbreaking moment a four-year-old Syrian boy 'surrendered' to a photographer when he mistook the man's camera for a gun.

It was taken at the Atmen refugee camp on Syria's border with Turkey and the image shows the young boy frozen in fear with his arms raised and his lips tightly pursed.

The child who was identified as Adi Hudea lost father in the 2012 Hama massacre and  has been living with his traumatised mother and three siblings at Camp Atmen ever since.

Rap mogul, Sean 'Diddy' Combs is wanted by police after a fan filed a battery report, alleging he was punched in the face by the star.  

It was reported that the punch had been dished out on Steven Donaldson after he badmouthed the star for not turning up early at the bash event he paid heavily for.

According to reports Mr Donaldson is claiming he was struck by the father-of-six at a pre-Super Bowl party on Saturday night, which Diddy was billed to host but didn't arrive at until 1:15 am.

The Muslim kosher supermarket employee who saved several shoppers lives during the Paris attack has been granted French citizenship.

His name is Lassana Bathily and he is a student in Paris. The 24-year-old was praised for his 'courage and heroism' by Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve during a ceremony in the presence of Prime Minister Manuel Valls.
