Terrifying moment when homeless man was nearly killed by unleashed pit bull

A homeless man identified only as Bemo has barely escaped death by an unleashed pit bull in Brooklyn and has only been saved when a nearby corrections officer stopped the attack by shooting the dog in the head. The pit bull which is reportedly owned by another homeless man had sunk his teeth into his victim and would not let go until being shot by corrections officer, Anthony Davis, who works at the Brooklyn House of Detention. According to reports, even after being fatally shot, it took a while before the dog released its victim.

Davis said..
He was bleeding a lot and screaming.‘I tried to get him off the guy by pushing the dog and kicking him, but he wouldn’t let go.’
